Click any column header to sort, and use the filter row to narrow results. Reference dataset for quick lookups. Always verify against the carrier or official source before contractual use.

This directory is a name index only: we do not publish USDOT or MC numbers, because operating authority numbers change, get reassigned, and go inactive. Each motor carrier links to a live name search in the FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot, where the current USDOT number, MC number, and authority status are authoritative. Insurance and authority history is in the FMCSA Licensing and Insurance database. Ocean, air, and rail carriers are not USDOT regulated: check FMC, IATA, or STB records instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I verify a carrier's authority?

You can verify carrier authority through FMCSA's SAFER system using the carrier's MC (Motor Carrier) number or DOT number. Look for active authority status before tendering freight.
