Consignee
The party named in a shipping document as the receiver of the goods.
The consignee is typically the buyer or the buyer's agent and is responsible for taking delivery, clearing customs (where applicable), and confirming receipt. The consignee's name and address appear on the bill of lading, commercial invoice, and other shipping documents.
