FAS (Free Alongside Ship)
An Incoterm where the seller delivers goods alongside the vessel at the named port of shipment.
Under FAS, the seller is responsible for delivering goods to the quay alongside the ship; the buyer takes on cost and risk from that point, including loading, freight, insurance, and import clearance. FAS applies to sea and inland waterway transport only.
