Throughput
The rate at which a system produces or processes output over a given period.
In supply chain, throughput might be measured in units per hour at a pick station, containers per day at a terminal, or orders per shift at a DC. Maximizing throughput typically means relieving the bottleneck rather than speeding up non-constrained steps.
